I wasn't right by my husbands side when I made the call to tell him that finally he had the perfect outcrop for our Dash For Cash bred mares, I'm sure he had a huge grin on his face and probably did a little dance! We love our bay filly, THR BugginSixBullys (see her on the prospects page) who is a full sister to this colt. Because of her level headedness she was the first one for me to ride this spring of the two year olds.

We haven't gotten to know this little gal yet as she is still in New Mexico but she will back in Oregon soon with her dam, Penny Purse, and we will have more information on her attitude and capabilities. If she is like her mom, she will be a sweetheart and easy to work with but quick and athletic and, of course, dad is no slouch either.

My mother always said to wish for what you want and you will be blessed with what you need...I was hoping for a colored paint colt and we were sent a fabulous solid dun filly with a personality that makes one fall in love at first sight and a dun line that starts at the top of her head and ends at the tip of her tail. All our Dash for Perks foals have been easy to work with from the time they were born and this little girl is no exception. 

We are calling her "Sophie" because when people see her for the first time all I hear is she is "SO cute" and "SO special" and "SO well put together"!  Her mother is taking very good care of her although keeping up with Sophie is a challenge because she is busy, busy, busy! Nice sized filly, I'm thinking she might mature to 15.2 but we will see, no matter what Sophie will be one to watch in the barrel futurities in a few of years.

THR SECONDS TA FAME
March 23, 2007 Chestnut Colt

I moaned just a little when after months of simply horrible weather the weather man said we were going to have a few nice days coming up and I knew I needed to clean up the yearlings and get their updated pictures on our website.  I had hardly worked with any of them except for the daily turnout and their very basic requirements and dreaded the possible fight I might have on my hands getting the first layers of winter off of them.  "Stewie" (so named because of the "Victory is Mine" baby on Family Guy) 

was the first victim but I quickly realized the chore I had put off for so long wasn't going to be quite as painful as I anticipated!  Stewie showed a lot of confidence, common sense and great manners during his first clipping and bath...now on to the others!    

Kevin and I didn't think we could be more happy then when Reisling gave us a fabulous DTF filly in 2007...we were wrong! "Stewie" has all the class plus the chrome that his older sisters have and that cute way of holding his head that says "I am special". This guy has money maker written all over him for the track, the arena and possibly the breeding pen.  Reisling has that great Jonette Henry bloodline on her bottom side that is tearing up the Futurity barrels this year and although we all know what Dash Ta Fame has done for the barrel industry most of us are convinced it takes a fabulous bottom pedigree to push them into greatness.  Stewie has a full sister THR Regained Fame that did quite well this year in barrel futurities and ridden by Adam Roper priced at $55,000. THR Seconds Ta Fame (Stewie) is priced at $35,000.

Photo at 10 days old, nice colt that already shows a lot of athletic abilities. Smoke N Sparks colts have been turning many heads at the barrel futurities this year, check out his website through our links. Flashin Back is a big soggy laid back Streakin Six mare, you don't find Go Man Go this close very often anymore!

Already a independent little girl that likes to stick her nose in the camera!  Dam is 16.1hands, sire is 16 hands so there is no way she won't be good sized.  We are running a few barrel futurities with her half sister THR SCORCHENG FIRE and starting her full sister THR POO CHENG PERKS and we are very happy with all the colts we have gotten out of this mare.  Poo Cheng was a barrel futurity money winner and with a sire such as Dash For Perks, this filly will be a great barrel, dressage or performance prospect!

Nicknamed "Cupcake" by MJ Farms where she is at with her dam in New Mexico, this filly has only the brightest future a head of her. New Mexico bred, Cupcake is a full sister to THR Got Ta Be Famous (see prospects) and is priced at $40,000 at weaning. She has many ways she can make money for you...added money for New Mexico bred in racing...Barrel Racing...Broodmare...all with the bonus of that great palomino color to have and pass on!
